Ms.Pisani received her master’s degree and education specialist degree in school psychology from Tufts University. Her work experience includes conducting psychological evaluations for students with multiple disabilities and counseling K-8th grade students who have experienced anxiety, depression and have characteristics of autism and ADHD. She has co-led middle school groups focused on building their social skills and executive functioning skills. As Ms.Pisani has been a nationally certified school psychologist in the Massachusetts public schools for 8 years, she is well-versed in the special education and 504 processes. As a bilingual individual, Ms.Pisani has also conducted psychoeducational evaluations in Spanish. She is comfortable interpreting and presenting neuropsychological evaluations and using the information to collaborate with a student’s team about the best supports to promote their academic and social-emotional skills. She values the rapport established between her and a student, their parents, and the school team. She considers the child's creativity, perspective, cultural background, social-emotional functioning, and cognitive abilities to help them feel empowered.
Outside of school hours Ms.Pisani has been involved with preparing resources for teachers to use when working with culturally diverse students and facilitating staff group discussions about race and equity, and student behavior management. Her clinical interests include learning new therapy approaches and assessments to use with her students and providing families with resources that can help them understand and support their child’s skill set and level of engagement with others.
