Dr McCloy completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL. During graduate school, she specialized in child and adolescent psychology, conducted research on attachment and relationship building with at-risk youth, and focused on personality and psychoeducational assessments. Dr. McCloy is an expert in child development and a certified trauma specialist. She completed extensive pre-doctoral training in residential treatment facilities, therapeutic day school settings, and community mental health care settings where she engaged in clinical assessment, diagnostic clarity, and treatment planning and implementation. She completed her post-doctoral training in a private practice while delivering neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations, as well as individual and family therapy. She also has extensive experience working within school settings to help children gain the supports that they need in order to utilize their academic strengths.
