A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury (TBI) caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head. Concussions can also occur from a fall or blow to the body that causes the head and brain to move quickly back and forth. Concussions can range from mild to severe and can disrupt the way the brain normally works. The Neuropsychological Evaluation is used to establish a baseline of functioning and diagnosis of deficits as a result of the concussion. It is also used to help recommend follow up treatments and recommendations.
